The Three-Day Kit
Not yet on sale
Three shelf-stable blends, one for each part of the day, built to run the full three-day practice without planning a shopping trip around it. Whole dried ingredients, ground and portioned. Water, a pot, and eight minutes.
Still being formulated and tested. The books work without it, and always will.

The blends
Built around the day, not around a flavour chart.
Morning
Sahel Sunrise
Warm and dry-spiced. Ginger forward, with millet and legume body. Meant to be the first thing in the day and to hold until midday without a crash.
Midday
Cape Spice
The most substantial of the three. Rounder, slightly sweet, with the highest protein load, sitting where lunch would normally be.
Evening
Savanna Rest
Thinner and more aromatic. Lower in heat, higher in herbs, and built so that it does not sit heavily before sleep.
Specimen drawer
What is in them.
Nine dried ingredients across the three blends. Select a card to read what it is doing there.
001
Ginger Zingiber officinale
Select
001
Dried and ground. Carries the heat in the morning blend and does most of the aromatic work before anything else has warmed up.

002
Red lentil Lens culinaris
Select
002
The protein and fibre base. Breaks down completely in eight minutes, which is why it and not a firmer legume anchors the blends.

003
Groundnut Arachis hypogaea
Select
003
Ground fine. Supplies fat and body to the midday blend, which is what keeps a liquid lunch from disappearing by three in the afternoon.
Close
004
Moringa Moringa oleifera
Select
004
Dried leaf. A green, slightly bitter note across all three blends, and a long history of use as an everyday leaf vegetable rather than a supplement.
Close
005
Sweet potato Ipomoea batatas
Select
005
Dried and milled. Provides the sweetness and most of the carbohydrate, so the blends do not need added sugar to be palatable.
Close
006
Cape pepper Capsicum annuum
Select
006
Mild and smoked rather than sharp. Present for depth in the midday blend, at a level that does not make the bowl a challenge.
Close
007
Rooibos Aspalathus linearis
Select
007
Steeped into the evening blend. Adds a rounded, faintly sweet base without caffeine, which matters for the last bowl of the day.
Close
008
Millet Pennisetum glaucum
Select
008
Toasted and ground. Thickens the morning blend to something closer to a porridge, which is the older form this practice usually takes.
Close
009
Sea salt Unrefined
Select
009
Kept deliberately low. Enough to make the blends taste like food, well under what a comparable packaged soup would carry.
